Our Weekend

This weekend we had the pleasure of visiting my husband's sister and her family in Birmingham. It was absolutely wonderful getting to spend some quality time with our beautiful niece. We spent Saturday at the pool with this bathing beauty.

I think she loves this life.

On Sunday, we went to church followed by a nice lunch.

We also lucked up and were able to tour Southern Living's 2015 idea house in Mt. Laurel. It was absolutely gorgeous. I can only dream of a house like that (maybe one day).

Here are some of my favorite rooms. Pardon the bad photography. My phone has its limitations. Had I known we could snap photos, I would have brought my good camera.

I personally thought the kitchen was a bit dark but I loved the layout and the materials used.

I'm obsessed with this half bath. My husband would probably lose his mind if I made him paint those stripes.

Laundry love.

The master bath was amazing. One thing I noticed throughout the house was the mix of metals. Gold and stainless finishes were used everywhere in the home and they worked so well together.

The stairwell had me at hello. From the runner, to the shiplapped walls, and those beautiful gold sconces, I was in Love.

See what I mean... Gorgeous

Patterns and wallpaper were used in almost every room. Wallpaper is definitely coming back and the pattern mixtures make me extremely envious of designer talent.

Dreamy wrap around porch. I could definitely see myself here, sipping some sweet tea.

I told my husband that I think I've found my new hobby in home touring. It may be something we both could enjoy.

Birthday Celebrations

It's true, I turned another year older. We had a full weekend of family fun and I loved every minute of it. Living in Huntsville has one major perk and that's being closer to our family.

My nephew and I share the same Birthday so no matter what, I know I'll always have a party to attend. His birthday party was "Car" themed given his current obsession. He was so happy to be celebrating with everyone. He is one loved little boy!

His cake was adorable

and so was the decor

Can't believe he is 2

Memorial Day Weekend

We kickstarted summer by taking full advantage of the long weekend and making a trip to the beach. I'm so thankful for the men and women who gave their lives so that we could have the privileges we do today. It's such a selfless act to have our military lay down their lives for our freedom.

My Momma and Grandmother joined us on our little getaway and while the traffic was less than enjoyable, we loved every minute of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The weather was absolutely perfect!

That sunset though... Creator props

Peyton is one happy puppy. She told me she would be more than happy to have this view in her backyard.

Nothing better than a weekend away making memories with people you Love.
