It's a LOVE-ly Day

Today is the 2 year wedding anniversary of me and my husband. We've actually been together for 9 years. It's hard to believe just how far we've come in those 9 years. He is the reason behind some of my life's greatest memories. Marriage is a truly wonderful thing. I never would have imagined two years ago that we would be closer or more in love than we were on our wedding day. Truth is, there are days when I have this over pouring love for him, that I couldn't begin to explain. His love consumes me and there is not a day that passes bye that I'm not thankful for the blessing that I call our marriage. It's amazing knowing that you have someone to share your life with. Not a day passes that he doesn't make me smile. He is my happiness, future, dreams, and most importantly my heart. Happy Anniversary Christopher! I sure do Love you!!!

We celebrated our anniversary by going on a little getaway to the beach. The weather was sub par but we enjoyed getting away from our everyday lives to celebrate each other.

The beach is my happy place. I could just sit and stare for hours in awe.

We went out to dinner both nights on our trip.

One night we took our sweet puppy out  to one of the only pup friendly restaurants. We dine, so she dines. She loves attention.

She was a little tired the next day.

But I think it's safe to say, she loves the beach as much as we do.

Just look at that smile...

The next night, we had a fantastic dinner at one if my favorite restaurants in Orange Beach, Shipps Harbour Grill.

Love, is meant to be celebrated. I hope we are always able to find time for one another no matter how busy and hectic life gets.

Weekend Round Up

This past weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating our Brother in law's 30th Birthday in Birmingham. I love going to visit my brother and sister in law. We always undoubtedly have a great time together and this weekend was no exception. My sister in law should really consider party planning as a career. She is so organized and has everything planned out perfectly. She did an excellent job putting this birthday party together for her husband.
Here are just some of the photos from the party.

Our gift to the Birthday Boy. Painting these things was just a small victory in my world. We had such a great time playing corn hole. Christopher and I dominated the game and then felt a little guilty for not letting the Birthday boy win.

It's always nice to spend time with family laughing and enjoying each others company.

Happy Birthday Ryan!
Hope everyone had a nice Easter Weekend!

Spring

It's that time of year again. Spring has sprung and summer is right around the corner. I am so looking forward to warm weather weekends and summertime cookouts with friends and family. I'm already diving into all the wonderful spring fashions. I wanted to share a few items on my warm weather checklist.

Sunless tanner

This is a must have. I have a history of some serious skin issues and can't tan in the sun or tanning bed. Believe me when I tell you I have tried almost every sunless tanner on the market. Faux tan by Bare Minerals is my favorite. It offers the most realistic color. It's easy to apply and the tan lasts a good amount of time. If you are interested in this product, I've found that QVC offers the most bang for your buck. They carry the item in a size that's not available at most retailers. I use this product throughout the year.

Bathing suits

I realized this year that I haven't bought a new bathing suit since I got married. I invested in some pricey bathing suits for our honeymoon and just really haven't needed to buy any until NOW. Truth be known I probably have too many bathing suits. I was in serious search mode for a bathing suit in February because I don't know if you've noticed but bathing suits tend to get picked over.  I found the cutest suits at Express. Express just started a swimsuit line and let me tell you I was impressed. I got two suits that fit so well for a price that can't be beat. They were on sale when I bought them.

Can't wait to wear these on our 5 beach trips we've planned.

Cover up

If you haven't been to Old Navy this season you should go. They have the cutest clothes and wonderful prices. I've stocked up with so many cute things it would be embarrassing to show all of them to you. One item, I found was this super cute bathing suit cover up.

Sandals

I have this pair of everyday sandals that match close to everything I own.

They were a little more expensive than I would normally spend but they have held up well and still look great. FYI: I really wouldn't mind getting another pair in a different color.
I'm really wanting to invest in some cute wedges. I bought this pair 2 years ago.
I love the universal color of these. They seriously match everything. They still carry them and I'm debating on getting a new pair. Here are a few others I like.
